Privacy Policy

HolyTalk ("the app") is operated by UNSEEN NETWORK SRL, a company registered in Romania (Reg. Com. J2018004209123, CUI 39897085) ("we", "us"). This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app handles and how. We built HolyTalk to be a private space, and this policy is written to keep that promise honestly.

The short version: HolyTalk does not require an account. Your journals, test results, and journey progress are stored on your device. When you use AI-powered features (chat and journey reflections), the text you write is sent securely to our server and to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. We do not store that content on our servers after the response is delivered.

1. Information stored on your device

The following stays in the app's local storage on your phone and is not uploaded to any server operated by us:

Gratitude entries and their history
Faith test results and inputs (e.g., the name or date you enter)
Journey progress, your written answers, and the reflections you received
Reminder preferences and app settings

Deleting the app deletes this local data. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it.

2. Information processed to power AI features

When you use the chat ("Talk") or complete a journey day, the text you write (together with relevant earlier answers from the same journey, so the companion can respond with continuity) is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to:

Our proxy server (hosted on Cloudflare), which forwards the request and applies abuse and rate limits. It does not keep a database of your messages.
Google's Gemini API, which generates the response. Content submitted to the API is processed by Google in accordance with Google's API terms.

We recommend not including information that could identify other people (full names, addresses) in what you write. The app's AI guidance is also instructed not to repeat identifying details.

3. Anonymous identifiers and usage data

The app generates a random anonymous identifier on your device, used to apply fair-use limits (for example, daily message limits) and to associate your subscription status. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account.
We may collect anonymous usage events (for example, that a journey was started or a test was completed) to understand which features help people. These events are not tied to your identity and do not include the content you write.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your payment details. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider, using the anonymous identifier described above. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

5. Notifications

Reminders (journey reminders, the evening gratitude nudge, the weekly encouragement) are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are optional, require your permission, and can be turned off in your phone's settings at any time.

6. What we do not do

We do not sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
We do not run ads or share your content with advertisers.
We do not require an account, email, or phone number to use the app.
We do not store your journals, prayers, or journey answers on our servers.

7. Children

HolyTalk is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will assist.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because HolyTalk keeps your content on your device and does not maintain user accounts, the most complete way to delete your data is to delete the app. For anything else (questions, concerns, or requests) email us at support@holytalk.app and we will respond promptly.

9. Security

All communication between the app and our services uses encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Our server-side components are designed to process requests transiently rather than store personal content.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for meaningful changes, note it in the app. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
